Please read it is meaningful..........

While a man was polishing his new car,
his 4 yr old son picked up a stone
and scratched lines on the side of the car.

In anger, the man took the child's hand
and hit it many times not realizing
he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers
due to multiple fractures.

When the child saw his father.....
with painful eyes he asked, 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?'
The man was so hurt and speechless;
he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.

Devastated by his own actions......
sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches;
the child had written ' I LOVE YOU DAD'.
The next day that man committed suicide. . .

Anger and Love have no limits;
choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely
life & remember this:
Things are to be used and people are to be loved.
The problem in today's world is  that................... people are used   while things are loved.

Let's try always to keep this thought in mind:

·        Formerly, when religion was strong& science was weak, men mistook magic for medicines, now, when science is strong & religion is weak men mistake medicine for magic.

·        Our is a secular country, There are many religions….Still…Temple has 6 letters….Church has 6 letters….Mosque has 6 letters….Similarly Geeta has 5 letters… Bible has 5 letters….Quran has 5 letters…Thai is Unity……..

·        A small tip for life time:” Try to present yourself that you are happy, slowly it becomes your4 habit and finally it becomes your character….

·        Always ask God to give what you deserve & not what you desire ….because your desire may be few but you deserve a lot.

·        Do you know the relation between your two eyes?....They blink to gather…cry to gather….& sleep to gather…..though they never see each other ….Friendship should be like that…..Life is hell with out friends….

·        3 Stupid stages of life: Teenage….Have time & energy but no money…working age……Have money & energy but no time…..Old age; Have time & money but no energy……

·        Try to develop five miracles….Never minds, Heart which never hurts….Brain which never drains…Touch which never pains….& relation which never ends….

·        Fact of Life…..Why people are not happy?.....Bcoz they are busy searching why others are happy!!!

·        People are made to be loved 7 money is made to be used…..The confusion in the world is People are being used & money is being       Loved….

Dr. Abhay R Vasavada will be awarded the Binkhorst Medal and will deliver the Binkhorst Lecture at the upcoming ASCRS meeting in San Diego, March 25-29, 2011. The Binkhorst Medal is the highest honour in the field of Ophthalmology. Each year, ASCRS awards the medal to an individual who has followed in Dr. Binkhorst’s footsteps with outstanding contributions to the understanding and practice of cataract surgery and IOL implantation. Dr. Abhay Vasavada was recently awarded the 2010 APACRS (Asia-Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeon) LIM Lecture Award at Cairns, Australia. This is the highest honor of the APACRS.

               

   Binkhorst Lecture

The 2011 Binkhorst Lecture, Pediatric Cataract: The Compelling Quest, will be presented by Abhay R. Vasavada, MS, FRCS.

Dr. Vasavada’s lecture will look at the problems associated with pediatric cataracts. It will focus on challenges in managing the disease and will present strategies for achieving optimum outcomes in these eyes. The results of a randomized clinical trial of aphakia versus pseudophakia in pediatric eyes will be reported.

Don’t miss the 2011 Binkhorst Lecture to be held during the ASCRS Opening General Session, Saturday, March 26, SDCC, Hall E.

The Binkhorst lecture & medal were established in 1975 in honor of intraocular lens pioneer Cornelius D. Binkhorst. ઘડપણ મજાનું

       આજે ઘડપણ પર એક સુંદર રચના..........

ઘડપણ મજાનું        મને તો ગમે આ ઘડપણ મજાનું, સમય સાથે લોહીનું સગપણ મજાનું. શિશુ સરખા ભોળા અનુભવમાં મોટા, ગણવાનું કેવું આ કારણ મજાનું. ભલે વાળ રંગો કે ના રંગો તોયે, ઉંમર ટહુકી ઉઠશે ક્ષણે ક્ષણ મજાનું. નઠારું કે સારું સૌ સંભળાય ઓછું, મળ્યું પાપનું આ નિવારણ મજાનું. ન કોઈ પાડી પડી તાલ તોયે, ચળકતા આ મસ્તકનું દર્શન મજાનું. ભલે આક્ર્મણ ભલભલા રોગ કરતા, હવે મેડીકેરનું છે રક્ષણ મજાનું. મને મારી ઓળખ થઈ આપ મેળે, મળ્યું જ્યારે ઘડપણ દર્પણ મજાનું. કરી યમનું સ્વાગત નવો જન્મ ઝંખું, ફરી મળશે ખોવાયેલ બચપણ મજાનું.                                             -----કવિ અજ્ઞાત
